Italian "Posters" Opening Tuesday 12 February 2008 at 19.00 From 12th feb 08 to 28th march 08 Cured by Lorenzo Benedetti The Danish artist Jakob Kolding, for his first solo show in Italy, presents a retrospective exhibition of his poster projects where the theme of architecture, town planning, and design of social space are interpreted and translated into an imaginary space. The works of Kolding deal with space not as something strictly physical and static, but space as a process that is always being defined by it’s context, a wide range of social, economic and political inter-relations. Thus the posters include references to a variety of subjects, from architecture to art, music, comics, computer games, politics, football and theories of urban sociology. For the exhibition at Pastificio Cerere Foundation, Kolding has realized a new poster made specifically for the neighbourhood of San Lorenzo in Rome where the space of the Foundation is situated. The poster will be flyposted around the area and handed out for free at the exhibition. Opening time: Monday – Friday 3 p. m – 7 p. m | |
