Nunzio
1954 born in Cagnano Amiterno in Abruzzi.

He studied at the academy of Fine Arts of Rome. In 1986 he participated to the Biennial of Venice and win the prize like best young artist. 1996-2001 he participted to the XII exhibition of Quadriennale Art of Rome in 1996. He lives and works in Rome

One may be aware that the place were he lives and works (Pastificio Cerere) is not a common place. You can’t go inside. You can’t go around. Beyond the black darkness and beyond the borders that is where one is sent back, and endless place where a memory without a name lives and keeps it silently. Between big waves of darkness and appearances of light the sculpture of Nunzio is opening of the horizon. Nunzio invest his anxiety of perfection in planning and in executing in an extreme meticulous, every minimum detail. He cultivates the exactitude that exalts the unskilled word - to find again the wonder of the metamorphosis in the exchange between mind hand and inert matter. It returns is made to feel the beginning question: who are you? What are you looking for? Those questions are incorrectly formulated. Nunzio is an artist. He lives in the sculpture he reveals oneself. The prefeeling of the sublime does not give the truth to it, but the sublime one is irreducible to the concept as the symbol of the allegory.
