 A space like continuum is the exploratory area - which is going to be defined also if it’s already well delineated - where the search of the young Karolina Pernar moves. Her compositions refers to a tape of Moebius that crosses the space in order to sound the potentialities and at the same time to seal them. The greater effort of the images is in lightening the materials depriving them of their ponderability in order to encourage their flowing, energetic and harmonic potentialities,. The problem is how artist can impress in the space the possible shape. And it’s also the path trhough which the variety of the artist intentions can be expressed in plastic outcames. The sign is the linguistic form, a peculiar fact in sculpture. A sign - way and trajectory, untangled, involved, solved by itself, without cover and base, high or low, compressed in spite of its own lightness; opened towards new, unforeseeable proves where the rigorous lesson of constructivism becomes the reason of meditation on transmission of memorable images. Used like signs, the matter and the materials lose their characterizing attribution showing a constructivism that exceeds and contradicts the ductus of the matter instead of supporting it. So, in the compositions of Karolina Pernar there is the idealistic and naturally sublimation of the material which becomes image, without exaltations of expressive possibilities of the matter but on the contrary with an inventive power which widen the figurativeness of the matter just when the material is naturally bereaved by the limits of its empirical consistence.
